FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY > REMOVAL

1. REMOVE REAR SEAT ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Assembly)

  1. Remove the rear seat assembly (Click here).



2. REMOVE REAR SEAT UNDER TRAY

  1. Remove the rear seat under tray.



3. REMOVE REAR SEAT SUB FLOOR BOARD ASSEMBLY (w/o Rear Seat Assembly)

  1. Remove the 6 bolts and rear floor board.



4. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

  1. Disengage the 9 claws and remove the front door scuff plate.



5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.



6. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

  1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip to the extent that the side No.1 trim RH can be removed.



7. SEPARATE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

  1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip to the extent that the side No.1 trim LH can be removed.



8. REMOVE REAR DECK TRIM COVER

  1. Remove the 2 clips.

  1. Disengage the 6 claws and remove the rear deck trim cover.



9. REMOVE BACK DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

  1. Remove the back door weatherstrip to the extent that the side No.1 trim RH and the side No. 1 trim LH can be removed.



10. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BELT HOLE COVER RH

  1. Disengage the 5 claws and remove the deck trim side belt hole cover.



11. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BELT HOLE COVER LH

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.



12. REMOVE SIDE NO. 1 TRIM ASSEMBLY RH

  1. Disengage the 6 clips and remove the side No. 1 trim.



13. REMOVE SIDE NO. 1 TRIM ASSEMBLY LH

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side.



14. REMOVE REAR SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear Seat Assembly)

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the RH side (Click here).



15. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY

  1. Remove the luggage compartment tray.



16. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the screw and remove the fuel lid lock open lever.

  1. Disconnect the fuel lid lock control cable.



17. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  1. Disengage the 5 clips and peel back the floor carpet.

    HINT:
    Peel back the floor carpet enough to allow removal and installation of the fuel lid lock control cable.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel lid lock control cable from the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.



  1. Disengage the clamps and remove the fuel lid lock control cable.

18. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  1. Disengage the 5 clips and peel back the floor carpet.

    HINT:
    Peel back the floor carpet enough to allow removal and installation of the fuel lid lock control cable.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and remove the fuel lid lock control cable from the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer.



  1. Disengage the clamps and remove the fuel lid lock control cable.

19. REMOVE FUEL FILLER OPENING LID LOCK RETAINER

  1. Remove the fuel filler opening lid lock retainer by rotating it as shown in the illustration.
